Banach was born on 30 March 1892 in Kraków, to father Stefan Greczek and mama Katarzyna Banach

latterly in his life, Banach would reportedly credit Dr Kamil Kraft, the mathematics and drugs schoolteacher at the academy, with sparking his original interest in mathematics

When he was 18, he moved to Lwów, which moment is known as Lviv, to study engineering at the Lwów Polytechnic

At some point he also attended Jagiellonian University as well

During this time he rather tutored in original seminaries

Banach was an original member of the Lwów School of Mathematics and author of ultramodern functional analysis

Banach was supposed unfit for military service and tutored in original seminaries during World War

After meeting Hugo Steinhaus, one of the most famed mathematicians of the time

the brace began working together and in April 1919 officially innovated a society together that came the Polish Mathematical Society

When World War I passed, Banach was excused from military service due to the fact that he was left handed and had bad sight
